When, after applying the aforementioned selection criteria, the response to a request for support to a local development initiative or a donation in a neighbouring community is positive, the support or project is executed in jointly with the community, local authorities and other local institutions (for example the municipal government, NGO), respecting and valuing their functions and responsibilities. The initiatives are led by the communities and/or municipal governments, while Transredes S.A. assumes a secondary support role. Most of the actions or projects supported refer to the areas of education, health (including water and basic sanitation) and production. ( See examples below ).

Transredes S.A's support is not always given in materials. Sometimes it is more useful and appropriate to render support by helping the community to articulate or coordinate with other stakeholders, or giving advice on the design or planning of a project, according to local needs. Some training courses carried out by our operational staff have also been very appreciated, on topics of mutual interest such as: the handling of solid waste (including composting), first aid, basic mechanics, electricity, home and industrial safety, among others.
