In
TRANSREDES our formula for success in achieving the challenging
objectives set by Senior Management is based on our human
resources–the supporting pillar for our improvement
and competence building. The actions necessary to achieve
these objectives are made feasible with the training and
competence building of all TRANSREDES employees and contractors
through our various certification and training programs,
such as: Health Supervisors Certification Program in Health,
Safety, Environment, and Social (HSES – 40), the
Defensive Driving Program, the Multifunctional Operator
Program, the specialized course for electricians.
Our efforts and commitment to safety and the environment
is ongoing and mandatory; to that effect, every month
the Company tracks, measures, and controls our record
of Lost Time Injuries (LIT’s) and Preventable Vehicle
Accidents (PVA’s). We have established annual objectives
of compliance that involve and commit all company and
contractor employees. Besides, at TRANSREDES safety is
everyone’s business and commitment.

Lost Time Injury (LTI) Chart

The control measures undertaken when added to an effective
safety management system have caused TRANSREDES to reduce
its accidents to levels well below those established as
the objective. This clearly demonstrates the commitment
assumed by the Company regarding human life.

Likewise each and every action to be executed in the day
to day activities require that the activities be planned
and scheduled, including the compliance with the procedures,
thereby demonstrating the safety leadership of each worker
in his/her daily tasks (Tool Box).
