training for its personnel, YPFB TRANSPORTE S.A. has invested in
hydrocarbon transportation technology in order to ensure
service reliability.

From its Control Center, YPFB TRANSPORTE S.A. coordinates
the transportation of hydrocarbons throughout the country.
Commencing with the reception of hydrocarbons in the producing
fields until they are finally delivered in the cities
or exported, the process is monitored to balance the product
transported and ensure full compliance with the contracts,
ensuring not only the product’s physical
safety but also the well-being of the environment.
In addition to YPFB TRANSPORTE S.A. communications network used
to acquire data from the stations and monitoring points
along the lines, the Control Room features the latest
generation of equipment monitoring the operation of systems
throughout the country. In order to manage its operations,
YPFB TRANSPORTE S.A. has highly trained personnel monitoring the
system 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
Our GAS and LIQUIDS transportion systems employ state
of the art technology for greater efficiency and reliability
in the transportation process. To transport natural
gas, YPFB TRANSPORTE S.A.
has invested in modern compression stations that utilize a wide variety of industrial compressors including high end turbomachinery. For the liquids transmission
system, not only has YPFB TRANSPORTE S.A. modernized its pumps,
actuator valves, and electronic metering equipment, but
it has also installed advanced electronic protection systems
in the case of emergencies (ESD systems). As always, at
the control of this technology we find YPFB TRANSPORTE S.A.’
most valuable asset – trained personnel who are
ready to respond to the challenges of moving this Bolivian,
World-Class Company forward.

Using specialized tools and personnel, our Maintenance
Department employs the latest technology to maintain
our system in the best condition. From running computerized
instruments known as “intelligent pigs” inside the pipelines
in order to inspect and report problems to employing X-rays
and ultrasound to inspect the welds along the pipelines,
the maintenance process requires the best technology and
trained personnel for YPFB TRANSPORTE S.A. to be a Bolivian World-Class
company.
