The task was very difficult since the 23 pre-selected finalists all fulfilled the requirements of being Bolivian female workers with dignity and valor, but the group had to look for those women with the greates social and economic impact. • 05-JUN-2007 PIPELINE BEING INSTALLED IN THE HIGHLANDS
The hydrocarbons transporting company, Transredes, informed that 5.000 meters of pipes arrived for the expansion of the gas pipeline to the Highlands. The welding works of the pipes will begin this Friday, June 08, in the town of Cohani, between Oruro and La Paz.
That is what the president of Transredes, Ernesto Blanco, announced when explaining that this work forms part of the GAA-3, which is the third phase of expansion of the Gas Pipeline to the Highlands. In the previous phase 2, executed on the year 2006, Transredes invested $us 36.7 million and on 2005, phase 1 was carried out with a value of 7.5 million dollars

Después de los condenables hechos ocurridos ayer contra la Estación de Pocitos que opera Transredes, los trabajadores de la compañía ratificaron que no existen condiciones técnicas y humanas para operar en dichas instalaciones. El saqueo ha sido total, los bienes de la empresa, instalaciones y equipos, fueron destruidos y sustraídos en un acto sin precedente contra un servicio público en Bolivia. La vida de los operadores, y personas ajenas al problema, estuvo en alto riesgo, sufriendo atentados totalmente injustos contra su integridad, además de la pérdida de sus bienes personales que fueron saqueados y en algunos casos incendiados.

• 12-FEB-2007 MASSIVE LANDSLIDE DAMAGES PIPELINE
The massive landslide of earth and mud caused by the intense rain of the last few days is the probable cause of the rupture of a buried pipeline in the area near the town of Bermejo in Santa Cruz. Around noon today, Transredes’ Control Center reported the loss of operating pressure on the OSSA I oil pipeline (Santa Cruz-Samaipata section). Transredes immediately activated its Emergency Plan and as a preventive measure deactivated the pumping system and the nearby valves.

En histórica reunión particularmente dedicada al desarrollo del mercado interno en Bolivia, el Directorio de Transredes aprobó la ejecución de las ampliaciones del Gasoducto Villamontes Tarija (GVT fases 1 y 2), del Gasoducto al Altiplano (GAA fase IIIa), y para el Gasoducto Carrasco-Cochabamba (GCC) en los recursos para la ingeniería de detalle, el estudio de impacto ambiental y los servicios de Constitución de Servidumbre. La inversión aprobada el 8 de Febrero suma un total de $us 55.31 millones de dólares para esta gestión, particularmente destinada al consumo de los departamentos de Cochabamba, La Paz, Oruro, Potosí y Tarija.
