Letter of the President

Transredes S.A. is a Bolivian company deeply rooted in the country and with a legitimate interest in Bolivias’ Sustainable Development. Because of this commitment, Transredes’ Business Management System meets our stakeholders’ requirements and complies with the highest international standards.

Every decision taken in Transredes evaluates, with equal importance, the three pillars of our Sustainable Development framework: Economic Performance, Preservation of Human Life and the Environment, and Responsibility to Stakeholders, while adhering to the highest standards of integrity, honesty and fairness in all activities. This framework defines who we are, where we want to go and how we will get; and remain there.

In order to improve the communication with our stakeholders, we decided to step forward, and be the first Bolivian company to implement the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) guidelines for the preparation of reports on Sustainable Development, in printed format and (electronically) in the web.

This global initiative, supported by the United Nations, is part of a global effort to promote transparency and facilitate understanding between companies and their different stakeholders. We expect that this initiative will contribute to a fruitful engagement with our stakeholders, through which we can improve the services and information that Transredes provides.

The information provided at our webpage refers Transredes´ Sustainable Development performance and in some specific cases, to the performance of Transredes and its contractors. A large part of the information is updated quarterly, unless otherwise noted. This site has been prepared in accordance with the 2002 GRI Guidelines. In our opinion, it represents a balanced and reasonable presentation of our organization’s economic, environmental, and social performance.
